Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Kau Sai Chau public golf course

Sunday treat for Dad and Alastair - golf at the public course on an island called Kau Sai Chau. There are actually three 18 hole courses there, two designed by Gary Player one of which we played on - the South Course. We were put together in a foursome with Karen and Ming a very nice HK couple. My golf was a little irratic, but it was fun and is a spectacular course - I can't imagine a better public facility anywhere else.

Getting to Kau Sai Chau was an experience in itself - we went the public way (2 plus hours) and returned by taxi (45 minutes). On the way there we took a cab to the underground, a train to the mainland, a bus to Sai Kung and 15 minute ferry to the Kau Sai Chau and a short bus ride to the club. We arrived in the nick of time to get to our tee off time - they are very strict about paying off on time. Got home just in time to say goodnight to Clara and have a delicious curry prepared by Josie before her day off today.....ah the life!
