The Peak and last minute shopping for the tournament

Today we decided to have a tour around the down town area starting with a taxi ride to Victoria Peak - a great vantage point to look over "central" Hong Kong. We got close to the top when we went round in circles three times after which the taxi driver started yelling at despatch - he was clearly lost - Jean threatened to get out, but in the end we made it to the Peak. We were a little underwhelmed by the view - until we realized we were on the wrong side of the building!

The view we felt was not as spectacular as billed....!

The real view..

While at the Peak we did some practice cheerleader moves for the 7's tournament based on the China House team man

We were in need of trainers, a fanny pack and some wigs so we set off for the Ladies Market in Kowloon by taxi, ferry and underground. The first challenge was to get a taxi, for some reason there is no concept of first in line and we kept getting beaten to the taxi by someone moving ahead of us - even to the shouts of "Excuse me" by Jean.

Success - the lady we managed to bargain down for us Converse shoes!

After a successful shop we had lunch with Alastair at Din Tai Fung near his office in Kowloon, and returned to Happy Valley for a quick work out before the start of the HK 7's tournament.
