Last April 9th Clara Jade "Sparkle" Leach my first grandchild was born. Sparkle is not really part of her name but it was one suggested by Josie, and I liked it! Apart from seeing her, and her parents Alastair and Shevaun last year in England I have only had photos to let me see how she is growing and so its time to visit her on her own turf in Honkers (Hong Kong).
Having made the decision to go this far I decided to fit it in with a visit to the famous rowdy HK 7 a side rugby tournament, and Alastair has organised for us all to go to Thailand and Borneo while there...can't wait, although being away from Newport and my three girls will make it tough.
This blog will record the trip and let all those back home know what a tough time I am having!
I leave Monday the 15th and am busy getting everything ready for my time away and hoping our new kitchen will be well on its way to completion when I get back....some hope, I am still thinking end May 2010
